Alone in a field she waits / sh0rn of her tires like slippers of glass / awaiting a knight to rescue her from stasis / will it be you? Her hopes of returning to life’s byways to roam once more/ can only stave off time’s ravages for a little while longer. Darkness falls on her once again / a flake of rust drifts to the ground / as if one more petal fallen from the flower / one more day closer to the earth and endless silence.
